Project Management
The Project Management module defines the basic parameters of each project engagement. It stores information such as client, period dates, resources, tasks, and status. It also includes details for use in the Requirements, Change Requests, Bugs, Issues, Risks, and Lessons Learned modules relating to the particular project engagement.
Requirement Management
The Requirement Management module defines the requirements of the project engagement. These include project activities and cases to be developed. Each requirement record includes the assigned resources, target dates, target work hours, and current status of the requirement.
Change Request Management
The Change Request Management module tracks client requests for changes to the original requirements. Each change request record includes the assigned resources, target dates, target work hours, and current status of the change request.
Bug Management
The Bug Management module tracks the bugs or errors that are reported by project members. Bugs could also be defects that are reported by the client. Each bug record includes the assigned resources, target dates and work hours, and current status of the bug.
Issues Management
The Issues Management module tracks the various issues arising from a requirement, a change request, or a reported bug. Each issue record includes the details defined by the recipients, the ensuing discussion between the recipients, and the current status of the issue.
Risk Management
The Risk Management module identifies the various risks faced by a project. It tracks the contingency or mitigation plans adopted for the particular risk as well as the actions taken. Each risk record includes details on the probability of the risk occurring, the person responsible for managing that risk, the contingency or mitigation plans, and the current status of the risk.
Status Log
The Status Log module tracks the activities of individual employees in relation to a requirement, a change request, an issue, a bug, or a risk. It also allows recording of other activities not directly related to a project such as leaves or administrative meetings.
Lessons Learned
The Lessons Learned module allows a project team to share knowledge gained from a project engagement. Through this module, such knowledge is accessible by other project teams for application in other project engagements.
Reporting
The Reporting module generates metrics on productivity, project status, work breakdown, and the like.
